Do Not Call & Opt Out

Last updated September 17, 2026

This page tells you how to stop hearing from us, and sets out our written internal Do Not Call policy. We maintain that policy and make it available on request because federal telemarketing rules require it. Publishing it here is simpler than making you ask.

Stop contact now

The three fastest ways

You can also write to us using the details at the foot of this page. Any of these works — you do not need to use a particular form of words. Federal rules require us to honor a request made by any reasonable means, so plain English is enough; the keywords above are just the fastest route.

Stopping one channel does not stop the others. Replying STOP ends texts but not calls. Unsubscribing from email ends email but not calls. If you want everything stopped, say so — “stop contacting me by any method” — and we will record it across all three.

What happens when you ask

The record we keep contains your contact details and the fact that you opted out. It does not need to contain anything about your incident, and we will remove that separately if you ask.

One request covers everyone who calls for us

The firm advertises through a marketing vendor, which runs this website and the tracked line at (210) 756-9639 on our behalf. An opt-out given to either of us is recorded for both — you do not have to ask twice, and you do not need to know which of us you were speaking to.

If you are already represented by an attorney

Tell us, and we stop immediately — we will not contact you further about the matter. Contacting someone who already has a lawyer about the matter their lawyer is handling is a rule the firm treats as absolute, not a preference. We ask on the call, and an answer of “yes” ends it there.

Our internal Do Not Call policy

1. We maintain a list

The Law Office of Mark E. Braswell, P.C. maintains an internal Do Not Call list of every person who has asked not to be contacted. It is checked before any outbound contact, by the firm and by anyone calling on its behalf.

2. Training

Anyone who makes or takes calls on our behalf is trained on this policy and on how to record a do-not-call request, before they take their first call.

3. Recording requests

A request is recorded at the time it is made, whoever receives it and however it arrives — on a call, by text, by email or in writing. Staff do not have discretion to decide a request was not serious.

4. Availability of this policy

This policy is published here and is available on demand to anyone who asks for it.

5. Retention

Do Not Call records are retained for at least five years from the date of the request.

6. Affiliates

We do not share our Do Not Call list for marketing, and we do not pass your number to affiliates, lead buyers or other law firms. There is no affiliate network here: your inquiry stays with this firm.

Calls you may still receive

Once you have opted out, you may still hear from us in a small number of situations:

If you receive anything else after opting out, tell us — it is a fault and we want to know about it.

The national and state registries

Our internal list is separate from, and additional to, the public registries. You can also register there:

Registering there does not by itself stop contact you have previously consented to, which is why our internal list exists. Use both.

Complaints

If you believe we have contacted you after you asked us not to, contact us first using the details below — we would rather fix it than have you escalate. You may also complain to the Federal Communications Commission (consumercomplaints.fcc.gov), the Federal Trade Commission (reportfraud.ftc.gov), or the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
