Terms of Use & Messaging Terms
Last updated September 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of this website and our intake service, and they set out the terms of our SMS program. By using this site, submitting our form, or calling our intake line, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
SMS messaging terms
Program summary
Program name: Braswell Law Intake Notifications.
What we send: non-marketing, conversational messages about an injury inquiry you submitted to us — confirming we have it, arranging a time to speak, and telling you the status of your request. We do not send promotions, offers or advertising by text.
Message frequency: up to 5 messages a month. In practice most people receive two or three while we are arranging a call.
Cost: we do not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
To stop: reply STOP to any message. For help: reply HELP, or call (210) 756-9639.
How you opt in
You opt in by checking the optional SMS checkbox on our call-back form. It is unchecked by default, it is separate from every other permission on the form, and it is never required. This is the exact wording of that checkbox:
“Text me about my request. By checking this box, I consent to receive non-marketing text messages from The Law Office of Mark E. Braswell, P.C. about my injury inquiry and its status — up to 5 messages a month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any service.”
The checkbox also carries links to these SMS terms and to our Privacy Policy, shown with it at the point of opt-in rather than only in the page footer — CTIA requires those links in the opt-in unit itself.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service. You can submit the form and be contacted without ever agreeing to a text message. We do not buy, rent or accept phone numbers from any third-party list, and we do not message anyone who has not personally opted in on our own form.
How you opt out
Reply STOP to any message. We also honor QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE and OPT OUT — and any other wording that makes the request clear. Federal rules require a revocation made by any reasonable means to be honored, not only a particular keyword. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and then no further texts. You may also opt out by calling us, or by any method in our Do Not Call & Opt-Out policy. Opting out of texts does not opt you out of phone calls, and the reverse is also true — tell us if you want both stopped, and we will stop both.
To opt back in, check the box on our form again or reply START.
Help
Reply HELP to any message for information about the program and how to contact us, or call (210) 756-9639.
Carriers and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier’s network and on your handset, and we cannot guarantee that any message will arrive. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, Cricket and others; carrier support may change without notice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or authorized to use, the mobile number you give us.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full statement and for how we handle everything else you give us.
Phone calls and recording
By checking the required consent box on our form, you authorize us to call you about your inquiry, including at the mobile number you provided and including calls made with automated technology or a prerecorded voice. This is the exact wording of that checkbox:
“I authorize The Law Office of Mark E. Braswell, P.C. to contact me by phone about my inquiry, including at the mobile number I gave above and including calls made with automated technology or a prerecorded voice. I understand these calls may be recorded, that contacting the firm does not make me a client, and that my consent is not a condition of receiving any service. I can withdraw consent at any time.”
Calls on our intake line are recorded. You may withdraw consent to be called at any time — see Do Not Call & Opt Out.
What this service is, and what it is not
Contacting us does not make you a client. The Law Office of Mark E. Braswell, P.C. is a law firm, but it is not your law firm until you and the firm sign a written agreement. Until then we are not acting as your lawyer, we are not evaluating your claim, and we cannot tell you what a matter may be worth.
- No attorney–client relationship is created by using this site, submitting the form or calling us. One exists only when you and the firm sign a written agreement.
- Nothing here is legal advice and nothing here should be relied on as a substitute for advice about your own circumstances from an attorney who has agreed to represent you.
- No outcome is promised. We make no guarantee that the firm will take your matter, or about the result of any claim. Past results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome.
- Deadlines are real and we do not manage them. Texas sets a limited period to bring an injury claim. Contacting us does not pause, extend or protect any deadline, and the firm takes on no responsibility for a deadline before it agrees to represent you. If a deadline is close, say so when you call.
- Send only the basics. Until we have run a conflicts check and agreed to take the matter, do not send detailed facts or documents. We may already act for someone on the other side.
